These are bonus tracks from "Philsongs III: The Sala" -- tracks that, for various reasons, didn't quite fit with the others. Even though they aren't on the full album, we still love them and wanted to make them available.

The Sala Project took place in 2017 when groups of Philmont staff, brought together by Activities and Conservation leadership, voluntarily contributed their musical talent to make an album. Forty staff members from ten departments participated in recording sessions on four different days, recording a total of thirty-six songs in the historic bedroom and La Sala at Kit Carson Museum/Rayado. Some were old friends, and some had never met. Some knew the songs by heart; some learned the songs five minutes before playing them!

Thanks to a generous grant from the Philmont Staff Association, "Philsongs III: The Sala" was released in 2019 as a CD in the Tooth of Time Traders, an extended digital album online, and bonus tracks on the Philmont Field Recordings Bandcamp page.

This project could not have happened without the help of many people. The producers would like to especially thank Trip Corder, Dollie O'Neill and the PSA, Tom Washburne, Tom Munch, and Don Richmond - and all of the artists who joyfully and patiently participated and gave us permission to use the fruits of their labor.
